Kim Victoria Cattrall is an American-born actor from Canada born July 21st, 1956. Her best known part is Samantha Jones, in the HBO show Sex and the City. The series brought her five Emmy Award nods and received four Golden Globe Award noms. In 2002 she won the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. She played the same role in the movies Sex and the City 2008 and Sex and the City 2 2010. The films also include Porky's and Porky's in 1980 and her appearances as a character in Police Academy Big Trouble Little China Mannequin. Her most well-known performance was in the comedy-drama film La Dolce Vita. The film received an Oscar and received the Golden Palm in Cannes Film Festival in 1960. It also was both critically and commercially successful. The actress was born in Sweden, Skane. She did modeling before she began acting. Then she won her first Miss Sweden contest. When she emigrated to the US and starred in a variety of movies as a minor role and her career began to take off. Her first film credit was in the role of Venusian as Venusian in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars. After appearing as a character in Blood Alley, she won the Golden Globe Award in the category of Most Promising Youngcomer.
